Not just a decor, but a story of existence — Cycle Layered Body threads eight elliptical marble discs of graduated size onto a polished brass axis column, each disc rotated slightly from the one below in a slow helical progression that widens from the wide travertine disc base up to the smallest disc, crowned by a large crackle-veined marble sphere resting on a brass collar. The same center, different layers, infinite possibilities — every disc is a stratum of marble whose blue-grey veins, warm cream ground and gold fissures are unique to that single layer. Each is oriented at a different angle from the axis so that from the front the stack reads as a perfect descending progression of ellipses; from above, all eight discs radiate outward from the brass axis like the concentric rings of a planet’s orbital system.
